information for page 1 of the zone will now also be displayed. If more than one
page has been entered for this zone, and it is desired to see this additional
information, simply release the LOOKUP button and then depress and hold it
again. If page 2 exists for this zone it will now be displayed. If there is no page
2, a message will appear indicating that there are no more pages for this zone.
Release and hold the ZONE LOOK UP button to get back to page 1, or the next
page. The last screen will also advise the PRIORITY level assigned to that zone.
6.4.9
Message Display for a Telegraph or Dialer
The lookup of a telegraphic box or a digital dialer alarm message is the same as
for a zone look up except that the corresponding lookup is used for the desired
information. Use the BOX LOOKUP for a telegraphic alarm box number and the
DIALER LOOKUP for a digital dialer alarm number.
6.4.10
Changing the Paper Tape
If the paper tape starts to run low, color markings will appear at the side of the
paper tape. To change the paper, slide the printer assembly forward until it
pivots. Then press the KEY SELECT. Press the soft button to turnoff the printer
rewind motor. Refer to the diagram located on the front of the printer door. Or
refer to Section 2.2.6, Changing the Thermal
Paper
.
After removing paper, the screen will display:
Thermal Printer
Has a mode error
Now in TROUBLE state
At this location
This will remain on the screen and a beep will sound. To stop the auditable
alarm, press the ACK button. The TROUBLE message will clear when the
CLEAR button is pressed. New Alarm, Trouble, or Secure conditions will not be
lost when paper tape is changed.
NOTICE- Use Digitize Paper P/N 900134-0005. Other thermal paper may cause
premature head wear and void warranty.
6.4.11
Serial Output from the System 3505
Data on the alarms into the SYSTEM 3505 SYSTEM can be sent out over a two-
wire serial data link. One such use is a Computer Aided Dispatch. The output is
based on standard data output format with a selection of preset BAUD rates from
150 to 9600. The unit connected to the serial port must be ETL listed for fire and
shock. In addition, the unit must be READ-ONLY, since the DIGITIZE CAPS
output option ignores data sent to the SYSTEM 3505 by peripheral devices
attached to this line.
