designated slave unit from the Network. This procedure must be repeated for
each installed slave.
NOTE: Care must be taken to enter the address of the Slave units exactly; an
error in address entry will delete the wrong slave unit from the network.
12.2.4
4=Use O/S from Slave
Set to Y will allow a slave unit to take an account O/S by requesting that the
Master 3505 take it O/S, which results in all the System 3505 units crating the
OS account. The “Send O/S to Master” must be set to Y at the Slave in order for
the slave to send the O/S request. For the Master to process this request, this
selection must also be set to Y. Use the ↑↓ buttons to change the value from Yes
to No (Y to N).

Network Notes for Slave Unit(s)
When programming a Slave Unit, the 7 Set Menu will appear somewhat
differently:

2=Sync time VIA Netwrk
3=Slave ID number
4=Send O/S to Master

1=Should I MENU
This menu is similar to the “Should I” menu discussed previously for the
Master System 3505 Unit. Selections can be made to filter which Alarms,
Trouble, and Supervisory events to transmit (TX) or receive (RX).
2= Sync time VIA Netwrk
By selecting Y (yes), this slave will follow the clock time as displayed at the
master. Should the operator prefer that the Slave 3505 unit(s) keep time
independently of the Master, then select N (no).
3= Slave ID number
Use this menu to set the Slave number for this System 3505.
4=Send O/S to Master
When set to Y (yes), the slave will send a request to the Master System 3505
to take the account O/S.
