16.4 DGM TYPES
DGMs are surface mounted units designed for the receiving and processing of point status
changes, and the transmission of data to the SYSTEM 3505. Available DGMs are described
below. Each DGM model can be ordered with the Polling Radio (RF) option. DGM 32/64
models can be purchased with 8, 16, 24, 32 or 64 installed zones as well as relays in strips of
8 up to 64 total relays.
Refer to the individual DGM or Muxpad manuals for details on DGM or Muxpad operation.
16.4.1 DGM-8LS, DGM-8LS-RF

The DIGITIZE model DGM-8LS, DGM-8LS-RF is a multiplex Data Gathering
Module, with eight supervised inputs, ground fault detection, AC power failure and
battery fault supervision., and uses coded multiplex communications.The standard
model is housed in a painted steel enclosure, and is supplied with a step-down AC
transformer, tamper switch, cam lock, rechargeable battery pack rated for 60 hours
of standby power, and an integral battery charger. This product is NFPA 72
compliant. Power input for the -8LS is120VAC @ 60Hz (150mA, maximum) with
7.5AH battery. Power input for the -8LS-RF is120VAC @ 60Hz (150mA,
maximum) with 12AH battery.
Unless marked otherwise, all zone inputs and communcation circuits are power
limited. Install only in a dry, indoor environtment.
16.4.2 DGM-16LS, DGM-16LS-RF

The DIGITIZE model DGM-16LS, DGM-16LS-RF is a multiplex Data Gathering
Module identical to the DGM-8LS, but with 16 supervised inputs.
16.4.3 DGM-32/64, DGM 32/64-RF

The DIGITIZE models DGM-32, DGM-32-RF, DGM-64, and DGM-64-RF are
multiplex Data Gathering Modules, with 32 and 64 supervised inputs installed,
respectively. Both types of units monitor AC power failure and battery fault.
Standard models are housed in painted steel enclosures, and are supplied with
internal step-down AC power transformer, tamper switch, cam lock, rechargeable
battery pack rated for 60 hours of standby power, and integral battery charger.
Also includes built-in lightning protection on each zone input.
16.4.4 DGM-32/64-RLY, DGM 32/64-RF-RLY

The DGM-32/64-RLY and DGM 32/64-RF-RLY accommodate up to eight relay
modules with additional enclosures or piggy back modules in the same enclosure.
