Digitize, Inc. 700248-0002 Rev. C 02/16
Specification Subject to Change Without Notice
7-17
SYSTEM 3505 will display and print both the canned message and the
programmed message.
Are the following CID Event codes ALL RESTORE?
o 400 (Y or N)
o 401 (Y or N)
o 305 (Y or N)
Some CID dialers do not send individual restores for reported Alarm or Trouble
conditions. However these dialers send a signal indicating all conditions have now
been restored. Various dialers use various event type codes. If Y is selected for
any or all three of these CID codes, then when the SYSTEM 3505 processes these
ID codes, it will check its entire Alarm queue and restore all event type belonging
to the same subscriber.

Force a Daily Test for Various Codes
DATA LOSS, i.e., Missed last signal (Y or N) – When the Dialer sends a Data
Loss zone, if that is in lieu of a daily test, then setting this to Y will force a daily
test after processing the missed last signal. The missed signal indicates that the
last time the dialer tried to connect to the DDI-9/10E, it was unable to connect.
This should be investigated to determine why the dialer failed to connect.
PNL TBL 24HR 24HR TEST, WITH PNL TBL (Y or N) When a dialer
sends this signal, in lieu of a daily test signal, it indicates that the dialer still has
an existing alarm or trouble that has not cleared. Setting this selection to Y will
force a daily test after the Trouble condition is processed. The owner of the
facility and/or the person in charge of the maintenance of the alarm monitoring
system should be notified and the root cause of the dialer’s remaining trouble
condition should be thoroughly investigated. This will prevent another alarm
from being reported.
For CID Event #P300 (Y or N) – Same reason as PNL TBL 24hr
For CID Event #602 With zone # > 0 (Y or N) Same reason as PNL TBL
24Hr.

Rings to Answer Phone
Allows setting how many rings prior to the DDI-9/10E answering the phone.
While the best setting is 1 ring, there are cases in which this setting may require
change. Where there is a backup DDI-9/10E monitoring the same phone line as a
primary DDI-9/10E, it maybe preferable to set the backup unit to two or more
rings: should the first DDI-9/10E fail, the second system will answer the phone
line.
