6.1.14
ACK Button
When an event occurs that requires acknowledgment, the ACK button will
prompt the operator through its illumination. This will be accompanied by a
pulsating, electronic BEEP, associated with the priority level of the event.
If the display screen should change to another event that requires
acknowledgment just as the button is being pressed, no acknowledgment will
occur, (if the ACKnowledge button is pressed within .1 second of the display
change). If the new screen requires acknowledgment, simply press the ACK
button again.
As long as the ACK button is pressed and held, the display will not change. This
will give the operator as much time as necessary to view the current screen. If
the button is held in too long (approximately 60 seconds), the SYSTEM 3505
will override the button and then will display any new conditions if they exist.
When there is nothing to ACK, press the ACK button to display the “top of the
rotation”. The ‘‘top of the rotation’’ is always the last ALARM or TROUBLE to
be ACKNOWLEDGED.

Master as well as at all slave units in a Networked System.
This O/S button is used to place zones, digital dialer accounts, telegraph boxes
and system errors out of service or back into service. Priority 1, (i.e., “FIRE
ZONES”), may require passwords, depending upon this definition in the IN/OUT
SERVICE PASSWORD menu. This button has a “toggle” function. That is, if
