The current password must be entered before the System will allow a new
password to be entered. Enter the new password from one to nine characters,
then press RETURN (or ENTER) key. The beeper will sound and the display
will show the new password before it is actually changed in the System. The
user will be prompted to verify that the new entry is the desired new password.
Enter “Y” or “N” depending on whether the password entered is correct. As a
security precaution, the printer will only log the fact that a password change is
made. It will not print the actual password. Press the ESC key to abort the
CHANGE PASSWORD mode.
IMPORTANT! It is critical that the user make a note of the new password. If
it is forgotten, the only way to restore it is for the distributor to replace the chip
containing the password.

Total Pages Installed, Used, and Deleted
Each time the SYSTEM 3505 is powered up or the RESTART button is
pressed, the printer will print out the total number of pages installed, used, and
deleted in the Field Programmable mode. The total number of pages installed
will also be printed out whenever CTRL, P is entered when using the Field
Programmable mode. To calculate the total number of pages available, use the
following formula:
Total Pages Avalable = Pages Installed-Pages Used + Pages Deleted.
