ZONE LOOK UP Button
The function of the ZONE LOOK UP button is to quickly check the status or
view the “User Text” information of a particular zone. To do this, enter the zone
number, then press and hold the ZONE LOOK UP button. The display will now
show page 1 of the programmed “User Text” message, (if any) and the current
status of the zone. To view subsequent pages, momentarily release the ZONE
LOOK UP button and press again. Repeat this procedure until the display
indicates that there are no more messages to be displayed. At this point, if the
button is momentarily released and then pressed, the display will revert to page 1.
In the event that no “User Text” message exists for a zone, a “canned” message
will be displayed.
When the ZONE LOOKUP button is pressed, a HISTORY ZN soft key appears
at the bottom of the display. The specific zone number is referenced on the key.
Press this key to view an event history for the zone. A total of 478 events may be
stored in the zone history. The oldest event is dropped from the history when
event number 479 occurs.
The “ZONE LOOK UP” button may also be used to view the subsequent pages
of “User Text” for any zone currently displayed.
6.1.7
Numeric Keys
These buttons are used to enter numeric data including: date, time, zone numbers,
function numbers, etc.
6.1.8
CLEAR Button
Press this button to clear any number entered via the numeric buttons.
For units with Digital Dialer or Telegraph decoding option, this button will
illuminate to prompt the operator of the need to clear the Telegraph box from the
screen after it has been ACKnowledged. The ACK button is also self prompting.
When there is nothing to clear and the clear button is pushed, the system will
momentarily display the day of the week on the lower line of the display. This
also causes the SYSTEM 3505 to advance to the next display if more than one
item is rotating.
6.1.9
Hyphen (-) Button
The “-” button is used for separating dialer account numbers from dialer zone
numbers in the Digital Dialer option, e.g., Dialer 1234-23. It is also required for
entering Multiplex, Telegraph, Radio, and ISOdressable™ zones. This button is
also used to enter a hyphen in a box number to be transmitted via the Solid State
Transmitter option. In addition, the SST option uses the ‘‘-’’ as a selection. This
button may also be used for custom program applications.

FUNC Button
Press the FUNC button to print out a list of the available functions in the system.
