Safety during hydraulic maintenance
Inadequate preparations for hydraulic maintenance can
cause severe or fatal injuries!
- Park the vehicle on a smooth surface and prevent it from
rolling away. Activate the parking brake if necessary!
- Retract the hopper cylinder completely; when working on
the hopper cylinder, secure the hopper.
- Move all conveyor lifting cylinders to lower limit position.
- Bring conveyor swivel cylinders to middle position and
insert retaining pin.
- Retract conveyor tensioning cylinders.
- Move platform lifting cylinders to lower limit position.
- Move front hopper cylinder to lower limit position.
- Turn diesel engine off and secure to prevent it starting
up again without authorisation.
- Disconnect battery from vehicle electrical system.
- Let the hydraulic oil cool down.
- Allow a waiting period to relieve residual pressures.
- After depressurising, open screwed connections slowly
and carefully. Continue to loosen the screwed
connections with caution in order to notice possible
dangers resulting from any still remaining pressure in
the hydraulic fluid so that precautions can be taken.
- Do not continue loosening the screwed connection
if there is still any remaining pressure in the system.
Depressurise the system again and check once more
that this has been effective.
