Enabling the boot watchdog in the BIOS
Enter the BIOS.
Select the Management menu.
Under Boot W
atchdog set the Action setting to Reset.
Save your changes and exit the BIOS.
For more information on how to access the BIOS and modify settings,
see the corresponding BIOS Setup Utility reference manual.
Enabling the boot watchdog using the iRMC S6 web interface
Log in to the iRMC S6 web interface.
Select the Settings menu.
Open the Server Management page.
In the Boot W
atchdog group, check the Enable Boot Watchdog option.
The Enable Boot Watchdog option must be selected.
Select Reset from the Watchdog Action list.
Click Apply for the changes to take effect.

5.3.7 Enabling replaced components in the BIOS
When an expansion card fails, the defective component will be set to Disabled
or Failed
in the BIOS. The server will then reboot with only the intact hardware
components remaining in the system configuration.
Communication between BIOS and iRMC temporarily failed during the
POST.
Booting to execute iRMC Emergency Flash.
In this cases, the defective component needs to be reenabled in the BIOS after
replacing it.
