Base units
There are five base units available.
Base unit Description
Type 1 Base unit with up to 10x 3.5-inch HDDs
Type 2 Base unit with up to 12x 3.5-inch HDDs
Type 3 Base unit for up to 16x 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs
Type 4 Base unit for up to 24x 2.5-inch HDDs / SSDs /
PCIe SSDs
Type 5 Base unit for up to 24x 2.5-inch PCIe SSDs
Type 6 Base unit for up to 16x 2.5-inch HDDs / SSDs /
PCIe SSDs
Replacing failed or aged drives
The tables show the location of the HDD in the device, BIOS Setup or HII
Configuration Utility
, and the description in the OS log for each AHCI/PRAID
connection. Refer to when replacing failed or aged drives.
ServerView RAID Software is not provided anymore, If you install
ServerV
iew Agentless Service, Server View RAID Manager is running
internally. So, the source of the logs is listed as ServerView RAID.
