This command sets the word length for both the receiver and the
transmitter. The word length for the receiver and transmitter are tied
together and can either be set by this command or the equivalent
transmitter command :TRANsmit:BITs.

On reset, the word length is unaffected.
Query
SYSTem:COMMunicate:SERial[:RECeive]:BITs?
The query returns the current setting of the receive/transmit word length.
