Rotary screw compressors without internal pres‐
sure transducer ( pN )
1. Press the «ON» key. After the motor start is
completed, keep the «LOAD/IDLE» key
pressed. Otherwise, the machine remains in
IDLE and stops after two minutes.
The machine switches to LOAD and the ma‐
chine's pi pressure rises.
2. Monitor the pi pressure rise on the display
during the test.
3. To prevent unnecessary oil mist, immediate‐
ly release the «LOAD/IDLE» key as soon as
the safety relief valve actuates.
4. If the measured pressure value pi increases
to 11 % above the actuating pressure of the
safety relief valve, immediately release the
«LOAD/IDLE» key.
The safety relief valve is defective. Shut
down the machine with the «OFF» key and
have the safety relief valve replaced imme‐
diately.
5. If the measured pressure value pi exceeds
the actuating pressure of the safety relief
valve by 29.0psi, the display shows the fault
message pRV ⇞ .
The safety relief valve is defective. Shut
down the machine. Have the safety relief
valve replaced immediately.

Correct conclusion of the test
1. Press the «Enter» key.
The check box Safety valve will flash.
2. Press the «Down» key.
The check box is deactivated.
3. Press the «Enter» key.
The test mode is deactivated and the test is completed.
4. Press the «Escape» key repeatedly to exit the menu.
5. Open the user-end shut-off valve between the machine and the compressed air network.
Result The machine is ready for operation.
Resetting
If the test is cancelled when opening the safety relief valve, SIGMA CONTROL 2 will indicate the
highest measured value for the reached pressure.
To reset the saved value, activate the Reset check box.
