8.2.15 Setting the e-mail function
SIGMA CONTROL 2 uses e-mail to send information (messages) to an e-mail address.
For this purpose, an Ethernet connection with an SMTP server is required.
Setting e-mail parameters
Precondition Password access level 2 is activated.
IP configuration is set; see chapter 8.2.14.
An SMTP server is active in the network.
The e-mail parameters are known. Request the required information from the IT department.
1. Open the 8.1.3
<Communication – Ethernet/SIGMA NETWORK – E-mail>
menu.
2. Use the «Up» or «Down» keys to select the
active:
line.
