Preferences
To save the User Device storage location, refer to
Chapter 33, “File
Management.”
1. Press System 7 > Preferences > Preferences then
2. Press
Next Page until is displayed.
3. Use arrow keys or knob to scroll down to until your choice is
highlighted then choose one or more of the following:
Save/Recall Long Press – Enables/Disables the Quick Save feature. When
enabled (default == On) and then hold down the Save/Recall 9
hardkey for
>600 ms, the specified files are saved to a file with the FFoxData prefix. See
also, Quick Save Show File Dialog below and “Prefixes and Suffixes for
Filenames” on page 829.
Quick Save Prefix – Chooses the name of the Quick Save data file’s prefix.
Press the
Edit softkey to edit the prefix name in the “Quick Save Prefix”
menu (default == FFoxData). Refer to “Prefixes and Suffixes for Filenames”
on page 829
.
Quick Save Suffix – Chooses the name of the Quick Save data file’s suffix.
Press the Edit softkey to edit the suffix type Number or Data
(default == Date). Refer to
“Prefixes and Suffixes for Filenames” on
page 829.
Quick Save Show File Dialog – When the Quick Save Show File Dialog is
set to On (default == Off), pressing Save /Recall 9 for >600 ms causes the
FieldFox Labeler to open and displays the current filename that is going to
be used or can be edited to save your data. Learn more, see “Prefixes and
Suffixes for Filenames” on page 829 and to “Group Save File Types
Editing” on page 790
.
Group Save File Types Editing
Enables/disables the selected file types to be saved as part of the Group Save
File Types feature. (Default for all group save file types = Off.) Refer to “Quick
Save Editing” on page 789
.
Group Save File Types Procedure
1. Press System 7
> Preferences > Preferences OR
Press Save/Recall 9 > More > Preferences then
2. Press
Next Page until Group Save File Types is displayed.
IMPORTANT!
To avoid losing data, before using the Quick Save feature, verify that you
have all of the correct data file types enabled for saving.
