For a description of the file formats for spectrum emission mask (SEM) measurement
settings and results, see Chapter 7.6.8, "Reference: SEM File Descriptions",
on page 273.
The file format for Spurious Emissions measurement results is described in Chap-
ter 7.7.6, "Reference: ASCII Export File Format (Spurious)", on page 292.
The file consists of the header containing important scaling parameters and a data sec-
tion containing the trace data. Optionally, the header can be excluded from the file (see
"Include Instrument & Measurement Settings" on page 611).
The data of the file header consist of three columns, each separated by a semicolon:
parameter name; numeric value; basic unit. The data section starts with the keyword
"Trace <n>" (<n> = number of stored trace), followed by the measured data in one or
several columns (depending on the measurement) which are also separated by a sem-
icolon.
The results are output in the same order as they are displayed on the screen: window
by window, trace by trace, and table row by table row.
Generally, the format of this ASCII file can be processed by spreadsheet calculation
programs, e.g. MS-Excel. Different language versions of evaluation programs may
require a different handling of the decimal point. Thus you can define the decimal sep-
arator to be used (decimal point or comma, see "Decimal Separator" on page 612).
If the spectrogram display is selected when you select the "ASCII Trace Export" soft-
key, the entire histogram buffer with all frames is exported to a file. The data corre-
sponding to a particular frame begins with information about the frame number and the
time that frame was recorded.
