In the FLASH, the log file means the files with the prefix “//f2/”, “//f3/’. This command only allows you
to view the log files. You cannot use this command to view other non-log files.
The following example shows the results of the log files in the FLASH as you can see:
Ruijie# more flash://f2/log.txt
look up file in the extended flash://f2/log.txt
00004 2004-11-17 4:1:32 Ruijie: %5:Reload requested by Administrator. Reload
Reason :Reload command
Record the logs to the FLASH.
service private-syslog
Use this command in global configuration mode to adjust the log format to the private log display format.
Use the no form of this command to remove the configuration and restore the default log format.
service private-syslog
no service private-syslog
Log information is displayed in the default log format.
Global configuration mode
By default, the log information on the device is displayed in the following format:
*timestamp: %facility-severity-mnemonic: description
*timestamp: %module name-severity level-information about mnemonic: detailed log information
For example: *May 31 23:25:21: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console
