Power control (PWR) RM0440
230/2126 RM0440 Rev 4
An embedded linear voltage regulator is used to supply the internal digital power V
CORE
.
V
CORE
is the power supply for digital peripherals SRAM1, SRAM2 and CCM SRAM. The
Flash is supplied by V
CORE
and V
DD
.
Figure 12. STM32G4 Series power supply overview
6.1.1 Independent analog peripherals supply
To improve ADC and DAC conversion accuracy and to extend the supply flexibility, the
analog peripherals have an independent power supply which can be separately filtered and
shielded from noise on the PCB.
• The analog peripherals voltage supply input is available on a separate V
DDA
pin.
• An isolated supply ground connection is provided on V
SSA
pin.
The V
DDA
supply voltage can be different from V
DD
. The presence of V
DDA
must be checked
before enabling any of the analog peripherals supplied by V
DDA
(A/D converter, D/A
converter, comparators, operational amplifiers, voltage reference buffer).
The V
DDA
supply can be monitored by the Peripheral Voltage Monitoring, and compared
with thresholds. Refer to Section 6.2.3: Peripheral Voltage Monitoring (PVM) for more
details.
When a single supply is used, V
DDA
can be externally connected to V
DD
through the
external filtering circuit in order to ensure a noise-free V
DDA
reference voltage.
