ENABLE MACFF INTERFACE MODE
Syntax
ENABLE MACFF INTERFACE={ type:id-range | id-range | ifname-list |
ALL } VLAN={ vid-range | vlanname-list } MODE={ LEARNING | LOCALAR-
PDISCARDING }
Description Enables the MACFF function for the specified VLAN/Interface pairs. Note that MODE is
required and the value depends on the strategy the user is following to enable the Local
APR Discard feature.
Options The following table gives the range of values for each option that can be specified with
this command and a default value (if applicable).
Example
ENABLE MACFF INTERFACE=11.0 VLAN=301 MODE=LOCALARPDISCARDING
Option Description Default Value
INTERFACE
ALL -
The MODE chosen is activated on all cus-
tomer interfaces for the specified VLAN(s).
VLAN The VLAN(s) that are to be enabled for the VLAN/
Interface pairs
MODE
LEARNING - Allow
the exchange of messages
between the host and DCHP server(s) to result in
an IP address selected for the host,
LOCALARPDISCARDING - when an ARP packet is
to a known IP address on the same VLAN/inter-
face is dropped;
