Displaying the SPA Hardware Type
To verify the SPA hardware type that is installed in your Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers, use the show
interfaces, or show controllers commands. A number of other show commands also provide information
about the SPA hardware.
Displaying Over-Subscription Counters
This section provides information about an enhancement for displaying per-port oversubscription counters to
route processor. This change is specifically for displaying the dropped packets counters due to oversubscription
in the overrun field which is displayed in the show interface atm slot/subslot/port command output.
Overview
Each port on an ATM SPA supports a specific per-port bandwidth limit to function properly. For example,
the per-port bandwidth limit supported by, 1-Port Clear Channel OC-3 ATM SPA is 155.52 Mbps; 3-Port
Clear Channel OC-3 ATM SPA is 155.52 Mbps; and 1-Port Clear Channel OC-12 ATM SPA is 622.08 Mbps
respectively. If the port is oversubscribed beyond the specified limit, the packets are dropped.
Old Behavior
Before Cisco IOS XE Release 3.1.0S, even if a port was over-subscribed beyond the specified per-port
maximum bandwidth limit, the counter for dropped packets due to oversubscription was not displayed in
overrun field in the show interface atm slot/subslot/port command output.
The following example shows the command output which does not display the counter for dropped-packets
in the overrun field:
Router# show interfaces atm 0/2/2
