string lic Specifies the Location Identification
Code; can be up to 11 characters.
string pfiSpecifies the Path Facility
Identification Code sent in the MDL Path
message; can be up to 38 characters.
string portSpecifies the port number string
sent in the MDL Idle Signal message; can be
up to 38 characters.
string unitSpecifies the Unit Identification
Code.
stringSpecifies the length of the Unit
Identification Code, up to 6 characters.
transmit idle-signalEnables MDL Idle-Signal
message transmission.
transmit pathEnables MDL Path message
transmission.
transmit test-signalEnables MDL Test-Signal
message transmission.

Verifying MDL
Use the show controllers t3 command to display the MDL settings:
