Router# configure terminal
! Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

! Specify the interface address.

Router(config)# interface gigabitethernet 0/0/1

! Configure an IP address.
!
Router(config-if)# ip address 192.168.50.1 255.255.255.0
!
! Start the interface.
!
Router(config-if)# no shut
!
! Save the configuration to NVRAM.
!
Router(config-if)# exit
Router# copy running-config startup-config
MAC Address Configuration
The following example shows how to change the default MAC address on the interface to 1111.2222.3333:
