To enable the syslog function on the Switch:

Command: enable syslog

Purpose
To disable the system log from being sent to a remote host.
Syntax
disable syslog
Description
The disable syslog command disables the system log from being
sent to a remote host.
Parameters
None.
Restrictions
Only Administrator or operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To disable the syslog function on the Switch:
DGS-1100-06/ME:5#disable syslog
Command: disable syslog
Success!
DGS-1100-06/ME:5#
show syslog
Purpose
To display the syslog protocol status.
Syntax
show syslog
Description
The show syslog command displays the syslog status (enabled or
disabled).
Parameters
None.
Restrictions
None.
Example usage:
To display the current status of the syslog function:

Command: show syslog
Syslog Global State: Enabled
