Time
– 173 –
Summer Time, or Daylight Savings Time (DST). Typically, clocks are adjusted
forward one hour at the start of spring and then adjusted backward in autumn.
â—† This command sets the summer-time relative to the configured time zone. To
specify the time corresponding to your local time when summer time is in
effect, select the predefined summer-time zone appropriate for your location,
or manually configure summer time if these predefined configurations do not
apply to your location (see clock summer-time date or clock summer-time
recurring.
Example
The following example sets the Summer Time setting to use the predefined
settings for the European region.
Console(config)#clock summer-time MESZ predefined europe

This command allows the user to manually configure the start, end, and offset
times of summer time (daylight savings time) for the switch on a recurring basis.
Use the no form to disable summer-time.
Syntax
clock summer-time name recurring b-week b-day b-month b-hour b-minute
e-week e-day e-month e-hour e-minute [offset]
no clock summer-time
name - Name of the timezone while summer time is in effect, usually an
acronym. (Range: 1-30 characters)
b-week - The week of the month when summer time will begin. (Range: 1-5)
b-day - The day of the week when summer time will begin. (Options:
sunday | monday | tuesday | wednesday | thursday | friday | saturday)
