Item Description
Group ID
DHCP server group ID.
You can create at most 20 DHCP server groups.
Server IP Address
Specifies the DHCP server IP addresses for the DHCP server group.
IMPORTANT:
The IP address of a DHCP server cannot be on the same network segment as that of
the DHCP relay agent interface. Otherwise, DHCP clients might fail to obtain IP
addresses.
DHCP configuration examples
There are two typical DHCP network types:
• The DHCP server and clients are on the same subnet and directly exchange DHCP messages.
• The DHCP server and clients are not on the same subnet and communicate with each other
through a DHCP relay agent.
The DHCP server configuration for the two types is the same.
