6. Operation of ELECYLINDER
338
6.7.3 How to Make Operation (Positioning Operation)
Only turn on the input signals corresponding to the two positioning points (forward end and
backward end), and operation by the targeted position data can be performed. Using
electromagnetic valves, operation can be performed just like direct drive of air-cylinder. In the
detection range (±), when operation is made to the forward or backward end, or when servo is
turned OFF (stop switch is pressed in a teaching tool) and an actuator is moved manually, output
signal turns ON when the actuator gets into the range as of a sensor is installed.
[1] Home Return (ST0)
If the home-return operation is not finished, turn ON ST0 Signal (backward signal) to start
the home-return operation.
The home-return operation will be performed. After the home-return operation is completed,
the actuator moves to the backward end.
After the movement is finished, LS0 Signal (backward end signal) turns on.
[Operation of Slider Type/Rod Type ELECYLINDER]
1) With the ST0 signal being ON, the actuator moves toward the mechanical end at the
home return speed.
The moving speed is 20mm/s.
2) The actuator reverses from the mechanical end, move to the home position and then to
the backward end, and then stops.
Warning: 1. If the position of the backward end is set to a point other than 0mm, the operation
will be continued after the home-return operation to a step of positioning.
Caution: In the home reverse specification, the actuator moves in the reverse direction.
