9.6 Posion
detecon with touch probe (TP)
A "touch probe" (short: "TP") is an event that can be triggered, for instance via a digital input
in an edge-controlled manner to detect and further process an actual value (which is changing
fast) at the triggering me.
T
ypical applicaons for touch probes:
Homing
Mark synchronisaon
Length measurements
Up to 2 touch probe channels can be used in parallel.
Possible touch probe sources:
TP1 : Zero pulse posion encoder or digital input DI1
TP2 : Z
ero pulse posion encoder or digital input DI2
The digital inputs DI1 and DI2 can be addionally evaluated any me as "nor-
mal" digit
al inputs via .
