19.1 Safe Torque O (STO)
The motor cannot generate torque and movements of the drive.
DANGER!
Automac restart if the request of the safety funcon is deacvated.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injuries
▶
You must provide external measures according to EN ISO 13849−1 which ensure that the
driv
e only restarts aer a conrmaon.
DANGER!
The power supply is not safely disconnected.
Dea
th or serious injury due to electrical voltage.
▶
Turn o the power supply.
Precondions
Moon caused by external forces must be prevented by addional measures such as mechani-
c
al braking.
The restart must be set. See chapter .
Details
Safe disconnecon of the drive
1.A safety sensor requests the safety funcon.
2.The pulse width modulaon is safely switched o by the safety unit.
The inverter switches to the STO acve device status (0x6041, Bit15 = 0).
The power drivers do not generate a rotang eld anymore.
The motor is safely switched to torqueless operaon (STO).
The
funconal principle depicted applies to Basic Safety (STO) and Extended
Safety. The terminals shown apply to Basic Safety.
