4. Remove dipstick (A) by turning it counterclockwise to
unlock it.
5. Wipe the dipstick clean and reinsert it into the engine.
6. Remove the dipstick again and check the oil level.

7. Add oil if the level is below the low (L) mark. For
instructions, refer to Adding Engine Oil, page 347.
IMPORTANT:
The oil level should be maintained between the low (L) and
high (H) marks on the dipstick.

8. Replace dipstick (A) and turn it clockwise to lock it.
9. Close the hood. For instructions, refer to 5.3.2 Closing Hood
– Lower Position, page 317.
