alertsthatletthedriverknowwhengettingtoo
closetoforwardvehicle.
•Impact–Providesaudibleandvisualalerts
warningthedriverthatacollisionwiththeforward
vehicleislikelyandthattheyshouldaddressthe
situationimmediately.
•StationaryObject–Providesaudibleandvisual
alertsthatprovidethedriveruptoa3.0second
alertwhenametallicobject(s)maybeblocking
laneoftravel.
•AdaptiveCruiseControlwithBraking–Whencruise
controlisonwiththespeedset,theadaptivecruise
controlhelpsthedrivermaintainasetfollowingdistance
behindaforwardmovingvehiclebyautomaticallyutilizing
theengineretarderandfoundationbrakes.
•CollisionMitigation–Providesaudibleandvisual
alertstothedriverandappliestheengineretarder
andfoundationbrakeswhenthesystemdeterminesa
collisionwithaforwardmovingvehicleisimminent.The
interventioncanbeuptotwo-thirdsofthevehicle’s
brakingcapacity.Immediatedriveractionisrequiredto
potentiallyavoidorlessentheseverityofacollision.
