RegenerationInhibitSwitch
TheoptionalRegenerationInhibitswitchis
usedtopreventthenormalregenerationor
parkedregenerationprocesses.
NOTE:Therearetwoversionsof
theregenerationinhibitswitch:the
two-positionandthethree-position
switch.Therefore,itisnecessarytoverifywhichversion
isinstalledinthisvehicle.Bothversionshavethesame
switchlabels.
Two-PositionRegenerationInhibitSwitch
Withtheoptionaltwo-positionswitch,pressingtheONposition
oftheON/INHIBITREGENswitchwillinhibitbothnormaland
parkedregeneration.Regenerationwillbeinhibited(latched)
wheninthispositionandtheswitchindicatoristurnedon.
Three-PositionRegenerationInhibitSwitch
Theoptionalthree-positionswitchisacenterstablemomentary
switch.PressingtheONpositioninhibitsnormalregeneration
whiletheengineisrunningandisresetwhentheignitionswitch
isturnedoff.TheInhibitfunctioniscanceledwhenthelower
positionispressed,orparkedregenerationisinitiated(PARKED
REGENswitchisturnedtotheONposition).
Theswitchindicatorwillbeturnedonwheneverregeneration
inhibitisenabled.

Out-of-adjustmentbrakescouldcausereduced
brakingability.

iftheengineisatornearmaximumspeed(rpm).
Undertheseconditionsitwillbeimpossibleto
shiftintoalowergearandcouldresultinpossible
vehiclerunaway.
Alwaysdescendhillswithextremecare,relyingprimarilyonthe
enginebrakingeffecttocontrolvehiclespeed.Heedwarning
signspostedforanygrade.Stopandcheckbrakesforcondition
andadjustmentatavailablepull-offareasbeforestartinga
descent.
