TheMaxwell

EngineStartModule(ESM)isanenginestarting
aiddesignedtostartthevehiclewithouttheuseofthemain
vehiclebatteries.TheESMislocatednexttothevehicle
batteriesbutsuppliespoweronlytothevehiclestarter.The
vehiclewillbestartedusingthepowerstoredintheESM
insteadofbatterypower.Thisallowsusageofvehiclefeatures
poweredbythemainvehiclebatterieswhiletheengineisnot
running.TheESMeliminatestheriskofdrainingthebatteries
tothepointofanenginenostartcondition.Indicatorlamps
andapush-to-testbuttonarelocatedonthetopoftheESM.T o
activatetheindicatorlamps,pressthepush-to-testbuttonand
release.Theindicatorswillilluminateand/orash(depending
onstatus)for10seconds.Holdingthepush-to-testbuttonfor
12secondswillresetthemodulecomputer.

breakercurrentrating.
