enginetofuelthevehicle.

•Donotfuelamotorvehicleunlessthenozzleof
thefuelhoseiscontinuouslyincontactwiththe
intakepipeofthefueltank.
•Donotpermitanyotherpersontoengagein
suchactivitiesaswouldbelikelytoresultinre
orexplosion.
ReserveFuel
Noextrasupplyoffuelforthepropulsionofthevehicleorforthe
operationofaccessoriesshallbecarriedonanymotorvehicle,
exceptinaproperlymountedfueltankortanks.
Transmission
TransmissionFluid
Transmissionuidcools,lubricates,andtransfershydraulic
power.Properuidlevelandconditioniscriticaltooperationof
thevehicle.Iftheuidislow,thetorqueconverterandclutches
starveforuidandthetransmissionoverheats.Iftheuidlevel
istoohigh,theuidmayaerate,whichmaypotentiallycause
thetransmissiontooverheat.
Periodictransmissionuidchecksarerecommendedbyevery
transmissionmanufacturer.RefertotheTransmissionOperator
Manualforadditionalinformationandproperprocedures.
NOTE:Alltransmissionmanufacturershaveguidelines
fortransmissionuidandlterchangeintervals.Driving
conditions,severityofdutycycle,andotherfactors
impacttheservicecycleforuidandlterchange
