WARNING
Topreventpersonalinjuryand/ordeath,
ordamagetoproperty,alwaysuseoccupant
restraintsystemwhenvehicleismoving.Any
locationinthevehiclenotequippedwitha
seatbelt,bunkrestraintbelts,orsleeperberth
restraintwebbingshouldnotbeoccupiedwhen
thevehicleisbeingoperated.
Twotypesofsleeperbunkoccupantrestraintsystemsare
availablewithsleeperbunkssuppliedbyNavistar,Inc.Ifthe
sleeperberthisnotprovidedwithoneofthesetwotypesof
restraintsystems,thatbunkisnotintendedtobeoccupiedwhen
thevehicleisinmotionandmustnotbeusedwhenthevehicle
isbeingoperated.Thedescriptionandrecommendedusageof
thetwoavailablerestraintsystemsforsleeperberthareasare
asfollows:
AdjustableBelts
Thistwo-beltsystemisstandardwiththesleeperlowerbunk.
Tousetheadjustablebeltsystem,thebunkoccupantshould
placeonebeltacrossthelowerbody(positionedabovethe
occupant’skneesbutbelowthehips),andtheotherbeltshould
bepositionedacrosstheupperbody(abovethehipsbut
belowtheshoulders).Slackmustberemovedfrombeltsafter
connectingthebucklebypullingthelooseendofeachbelttot
theconnectedbeltsnuglyacrosstheoccupant'sbody.
RestraintWebbingSystem(Optional)
Therestraintwebbingsystemisanoption.Ifthevehicleisnot
equippedwiththeproperrestraintwebbingsystem,thefollowing
warninglabelwillbepresent:
