Headlights
Theheadlightswitchisamulti-switch,withmultiplesettings
fordifferentapplications.Therearesettingsforfoglights,
AUTOheadlights,headlightsOFF,daytimerunninglights,
headlightsON,andparkinglights.Theheadlightswillbeat
100%brightnesswiththeheadlightswitchactivatedtotheON
orAUTOpositions.Thefoglights,taillights,markers,and
clearancelightswillbeonaswell.Analarmwillsoundifthe
headlightswitchisonandtheignitionswitchisoff.
Yourvehiclemaybeequippedwithanoptionalheadlightwarning
alarmthatsoundsimmediatelyafterignitionswitchisturnedto
OFFposition,whenheadlightswitchisON,andthedriver-side
doorisclosed.ItalsosoundswhenheadlightswitchisON,
ignitionswitchisinOFFposition,andthedriver-sidedooris
open.
Theheadlightsareoperatedinavarietyofmodes:
DaytimeRunningLights(DRL)
TheDaytimeRunningLightsfeatureprovidesforlowbeam
headlightsat75%brightnesswhenevertheparkingbrakeis
releasedandtheignitionswitchisintheONposition.Thelights
willstayonuntiltheparkingbrakeisengaged.
LightsOnWithWipers
Thisfeatureallowstheheadlights(lowbeam)tobeautomatically
turnedonwhenthewindshieldwipersareinsteadyor
intermittentmode(notwasher).Thelowbeamswillremain
onuntiltheignitionswitchisturnedtotheOFFpositionorthe
headlightsarecycledonandthenoff.
ParkingLights
Theparkinglights,taillights,markers,andclearancelightswill
turnONwhentheheadlightswitchisintheparkorheadlight
position.
PanelLighting
Thepanellightingbrightnessiscontrolledbythepaneldimmer
wheel.T oincreasethebrightnessoftheelectronicgaugecluster
lighting,scrollthewheelupward.Todimtheelectronicgauge
clusterlighting,rotatethewheeldownward.
RockerSwitches
TherearetworockerswitchesontheLCM.Theseswitchesmay
varydependingontheoptionschosenatthetimeofpurchase.
Toturnthechosencomponenton,pressonthetopoftheswitch.
Toturnitoff,pressonthebottomoftheswitch.Thelightrocker
switchescanalsobelocatedinthecentercontrolpanel.
DomeLighting
Theoverheaddomelightisusedforreadingandforillumination
whenenteringandexitingthevehicle.ThedomelightON/OFF
isalsocontrolledbypushingonthelamplens.Wheneither
entrancedoorisclosed,thecourtesylightwillremainONfor
approximately20secondsoruntiltheignitionswitchisturned
ON.Atthattime,thelightswilldimgraduallyuntilthelightisoff.
Theoptionalkeylessentrykeyfobalsoturnsonthelightfora
timeperiodwhentheUnlockbuttonispressed,andturnsoffthe
light(dimsgraduallytooff)whenthelockbuttonispressed.
62
