ComponentCodeNumbers
Codenumbersarethebasisforidentifyingthecomponentsused
onInternational
®
trucks.Theyareusedbysalespersonnelto
orderthetruck,bymanufacturingtobuildthattruck,andbyparts
personneltoservicethetruck.Manyitemsinthismanualare
identiedbycodes.
Codenumbersareacombinationofnumbersand/orletters.
ThesecodesarelistedontheLineSetTicket,whichis
sometimesknownasthevehiclespecicationcardorcode
sheet.
LineSetTicket
EachvehicleisprovidedwithaLineSetTicket(codesheet),
whichlistsidenticationcodenumbersofcomponentunitsused
tobuildthevehicle.
OnecopyoftheLineSetTicketisincludedintheliterature
providedwiththevehicle.Whenreplacementpartsarerequired,
takethiscopywithyoutopositivelyidentifyvehiclecomponents
tobesureofgettingthecorrectparts.
BesuretoreturnLineSetTickettovehicleafterobtaining
parts.
VehicleStorageInstructions
Whenavehicleisnotusedforanextendedperiodoftime,
precautionsmustbetakentopreventdeteriorationofvehicle
components.Vehiclesthatareoutofserviceforextended
periodsoftimecanexperiencecorrosionandotherundesirable
effects.Drivevehiclemonthlytoexercisethebrakes,driveline,
andsteering.Runthevehiclelongenoughfortheengineto
reachoperatingtemperature.

notbeconsideredforwarrantyreimbursement.
