steeringaxlesoftrucks.
1.Steeringgear:Lookformissingorloosefasteners,
powersteeringuidleaks,anddamagetopower
steeringhoses.
2.Frame:Checkforcracksorbendsinframe.Makesure
therearenoloose,cracked,bent,brokenormissing
crossmembersorcrossmemberfasteners.
3.Shockabsorber:Checkforcracks,leaks,andmissing
orbrokenmountingboltsorbushings.
4.Springsuspension:Checkconditionofspringforcracks,
breaks,orshifting.Inspectspringhangerfasteners,
shackles,U-bolts,andnutsforwear,damage,and
tightness.
5.Brakechamberandhoses:Checktoseethatthe
brakechambersarenotcrackedordamaged,andare
securelymounted.Checkforbroken,looseormissing
parts.Checkforcracked,wornorfrayedhoses,andfor
securecouplings.
