InstallingAxleShafts
1.Removecoversfromwheelends.
2.Shiftdifferentiallocktothelocked(engaged)position.
ApplicableRRDIFForFRDIFFENGAGEindicatormustbe
illuminatedintheelectronicgaugeclustertovalidateDIFF
LOCKisFULLYengagedandaxleshaftcanberemoved.
FailuretofullyengageaxleDIFFLOCKwillallowDIFF
LOCKshiftcollartofallslightlyandblock,ortemporarily
resist,axleshaftreinsertion.
3.Installright-sideandleft-sideaxleshaftsasfollows:
a.Placegasketsonwheelhubstuds.
b.Pushright-sideaxleshaftintowheelendand
housinguntilshaftstopsagainstdifferentialshift
collar.
c.Pushaxleshaftfurtherintohousinguntilshaftstops
againstdifferentialsidegear.
d.Pushdownonaxleshaftangeandrotateshaftuntil
splinesofshaftandsidegearareengaged.
e.Pushaxleshaftcompletelyintohousinguntilaxle
shaftangeandgasketareushagainstwheelhub.
f.Installleft-sideaxleshaftandgasketintowheelend.
4.Iftapereddowelsarerequired,installthemateachstud
andintoangeofaxleshaft.Useapunchordriftand
hammerifneeded.
5.Installfastenersandtightentocorrecttorquevalue.

ReverseTowingVehicleWithRearWheelsSuspended
CAUTION
Topreventdamagetoproperty,whenreverse
towingthevehicle(rearwheelssuspended),
alwaysremovecabsideextendersandrear
tractoraerokitsandlimitvehiclespeedtoa50
mph(80km/h)maximumtowingspeed.
Wheneverpossible,itispreferabletotowadisabledvehiclefrom
thefrontbyraisingthefrontofthechassisbythefrontaxle.
Wheneveritisnecessarytotowavehiclewiththerearofthe
chassissuspended,thefrontwheelsmustbelockedinthe
straightaheadposition.
Aero-enhancedvehiclesbeingreversetowedwiththerear
wheelssuspendedmusthavethereartractoraerokitsandcab
sideextendersremoved.Vehicletowingspeedmustbelimited
to50mph(80km/h).
