panelandallowsthedrivertoenableor
disabletheAUTOSTART/STOPsystem.
•Pressuptoenable.
•Pressdowntodisable.
NOTE:Toenablesystem,theswitch
mustbepressedwithin30secondsof
turningofftheignitionswitch.
Astatusindicatorlightontheswitchprovidessystemstatusas
follows:
•IftheLEDisoff,thesystemhasnotbeenenabled.
•IftheLEDissteadyon,thesystemhasbeenenabledand
theautomaticstart/stopoftheenginewilloccurwhenthe
conditionsaremet(bunkswitchispressed,voltageislow,
andengineoiltemperatureislow).
•IftheLEDisashingataslowrate,oneoftheinterlocks
isnotset.
•IftheLEDisashingfast,afaulthasbeendetectedafter
threeattemptstostartthevehicle.
SafetyInterlocks
TooperatetheAutoStart/Stopsystem,safetyinterlocksmust
besetasfollows:
•TransmissionisinNeutral.
•Parkingbrakeisset.
•Clutchisnotdepressed(fortransmissionswithclutch
pedal).
•Hoodisclosed.
•Vehiclespeedislessthan5mph(8km/h).
•IgnitionswitchisintheOFFposition.
Safetyinterlocksalsodoubleasananti-theftfeaturewhen
vehicleisrunningandwillshutdownengineimmediatelyif
parkingbrakeisreleased,clutchisdepressed,gearistakenout
ofNeutral,orvehiclespeedisgreaterthan5mph(8km/h).
