CAUTION
Topreventdamagetoenginecomponents,be
carefulnottobumptheairlterelementwhileit
isinthehousing;thiscanraiseacloudofdust
thatcanenterthecleansideofthepipingtothe
turbocharger.
CAUTION
Topreventdamagetotheoptionaldualelement
aircleaner,itisstronglyrecommendedthata
P-80
®
water-basedlubricantbeappliedtotheseal
oftheairlter’sSECONDARYELEMENT .
1.Locateandremovefourboltsfromlterelement
housing.Setasideboltsforreuse.
2.Removeaircleanercoverfromlterelementhousing.
3.Removethelterelement(s)carefullyandslowly,then
discardtheoldelement(s).
4.Wipetheinsideofthelterelementhousingwithaclean,
dampcloth.Besuretocleanthegasketsealingsurface.
Besuretowipeoutanydustthathasfallenintotheport
totheturbocharger.DONOTusecompressedairfor
thiscleaning.
5.Visuallyinspectthelterelementhousingfordamage
ordistortion,whichcouldallowunlteredairtoenterthe
engine.
