b. From the VLAN ID menu, select 1002.

4. To enable the switch to be elected as the root, change the PVST priority to lower value (for
example, 0).
a. Select Switching > STP > Advanced > PVST VLAN.
A screen similar to the following displays.
b. Select the 1002 check box for VLAN ID 1002.
