How to clear a media jam behind the chip tray
Remove a media jam behind the chip tray
1.
Turn the green knob of the chip tray (upper compartment) or the vertical transport unit
(lower compartment).

Remove all the pieces of material.
or,
3.
Lift the chip tray and pull the tray toward you to open the tray (see figure 182). [182]
Open the chip tray
4.
Remove all the pieces of material.
5.
Push the chip tray to its original position.
