No reinforcement strips on the output without an error
message
Introduction
This error occurs when there are no reinforcement strips on the output although reinforce-
ment is selected. This can happen when the file header (Remote Control Format or Océ
Job Ticket) contains instructions to have no reinforcement.
Note:
If you want to process A4 formats, reinforcement can be disabled for this format.
How to solve this error
1.
Press the Stop key on the operator panel twice.
2.
Open the side door of the reinforcement unit.
3.
Check if there are loose reinforcement strips in the unit with the protection sheet still
on.
[254] Situation A: No mechanical error Situation B: Mechanical error
4.
If yes, remove the tape strips in the reinforcement unit. If the protection sheet is not on
the reinforcement strip (see situation A), there is no mechanical error and you should
insert a new tape roll as described in ‘Insert a new tape roll’ on page 278.
If this error frequently occurs, call the Océ service organization (see ‘Other problems’ on
page 327).
