Task Procedure
Add a package
server
1. ClickAdd.TheConfigurePackageServ erscreendisplays.
2. Fillintherequestedinformation:
Name(required)—Anameforthepackageserver.Thisisnotthehostnameof
theserver.ItisanamechosentoidentifytheserverintheBlueScaleuser
interface.
IPAddress(required)—TheIPaddressofthepackageserver.Donotusethe
hostnameorURLoftheserver.
Port—Defaultvalueis80.
Proxy—TheIPaddressoftheproxyserver,ifyoursiteusesone.
Note: SpectraLogicdoesnotsupportusingauthenticatingservers.Theproxy
serveryouspecifymustbenon‐authenticating.
Directory—Thefullpathfromtherootofthewebservertothedirectorywhere
theBlueScalepackagesarestored.
3. SelectorclearAutomatically Download Latest Package.
Ifselected,thelibrarychecksthepackageserveronceaweekforalibrary
updatepackagenewerthanwhatthelibraryiscurrentlyrunning.Ifanew
packageisavailable,thelibrarydownloadsit,generatesasystemmessage,and
displaysanicononthestatusbartoindicatetheupdate
availability.
Ifcleared,youmustcheckforupdatesmanually.
4. ClickSave.ThescreenrefreshesandliststhenewserverinthePackageServers
portionofthescreen.
Edit a package
server
1. ClickEditnexttotheserver’snameanddetails.TheConfigurePackageServer
screendisp l ay s.
2. Edittheserverinformationasnecessary.
3. ClickSave.
Delete a
package
server
ClickDeletenexttothatserver’snameanddetails.
Important: Thereisno confirmationrequestedwhenyoudeleteapackage
server.AfteryouclickDelete,theserverisimmediatelyremovedfromthelistof
av ailablepackageserv ers.
Important: Ifyoudeleteapackageserverfromthelibraryconfiguration,you
cannolongeraccessthefirmwarepackagefiles storedonthatpackageserver
fromthelibrary.However,thefirmwarepackagesarenotdeleted.
