Troubleshooting
Theinformationinthissectionmayhelpresolvespecificupdate‐related
problems.
Whenyouencounterproblemswhileperformingapackageupdate,
examineanysystemmessagesandthepackageupdatelogtodetermine
thecauseofthefailure.Resolvetheproblemsandretrytheupdate.
LCM does not automatically reboot WhenyouclickFinish,makesureat
leastfiveminuteshavepassedtoallowfortheLCMtocompleteits
initialization.Then,resettheLCMandperformthePackageUpdate
processagain.
Component failed to update ClickFinishtocompletetheupdate.When
theLCMresets,performthePackageUpdateprocessagain.
Library configuration is corrupted during the update process Usethe
followingstepstorestorethelibrary’sconfigurationifitbecomes
corruptedduringthepackageupdateprocess.
Note: ThelibraryautomaticallysavesaCheckpointConfiguration
Backupfilepriortobeginningapackageupdate.
1. Fromthetoolbarmenu,selectMaintenance > Utilities.TheUtilities
screendisplays.
2. ClickShow Advanced.TheAdvancedUtilitiesConfirmationscreen
displays.
3. ClickNext.TheUtilitiesscreenrefreshestoshowalistoftheadv anced
utilities.
4. ScrollthroughthelistofadvancedutilitiesandselectRestore
Configuration from Checkpoint.Thescreenrefreshestoshowthedetails
fortheutility.
The Restore Configuration from Checkpoint utility should only be used
immediately after a package update is performed.
Any data that was saved between the time that the package update was performed
and the utility is run are lost.
