Cartridge Inventory Maintained by the Library Theslotsinthelibraryare
scannedduringlibraryinitializationtodeterminethecurrentcartridge
inventory.Theinventoryisstoredinvolatilememoryandismaintainedas
longasthelibraryispowered on.Thecartridgeinventoryisactively
updatedascartridgesaremovedwithinthelibraryandwhencartridges
areimportedintoandexportedfromthelibrary.However,theinventory
maintainedbythestoragemanagementsoftwaremaynotbeautomatically
updatedwhenthephysicalinventorychanges.Checkwithyourstorage
managementsoftwarevendorforproperimport/exportoperations.
