Overview TheBlueScalesoftwareandlibraryfirmwareareupdated
regularlytoprovidenewfunctionalityandresolveissues.SpectraLogic
recommendsthatyoukeepyourlibraryup‐to‐dateatalltimes.Ifyour
libraryisnotusingthemostcurrentBlueScaleversion,updatingittothe
mostcurrentversionisstronglyrecommended.

Your library must either still be under warranty or you must have a current service
contract with Spectra Logic Technical Support before you can perform BlueScale
updates, including firmware updates for the library components. The BlueScale
Software Service key associated with your service contract must be entered into
the System Configuration screen before you can update the library.
