View Drive Status Information
Overview ThedrivestatusiconontheGeneralStatusscreenindicatesthe
overallstatusofthelibrary’sdrives(seeFigure37onpage75).Ifthestatus
iconindicatesthatadriveisexperiencingaproblem,viewtheDriveand
DriveDetailsscreensfordetailedinformationaboutaspecificdrive.
TheDriveDetailsscreenincludesthedrivefirmwareversionand
manufacturer’sserialnumber,aswellasmoredetailedstatusinformation.
FromtheDriveDetailsscreenyoucanaccesstheDriveLifecycle
Management(DLM)reportforthedrive.SeeChapter9–UsingDrive
LifecycleManagement,beginningonpage272fordetailedinformation
aboutDLM.
UsetheinformationontheDriveDetailsscreenandtheDLMreportto
troubleshootdriveproblems(seeTroubleshootingDrivesonpage383).If
