CREATING A CLEANING PARTITION
IfyouknowthatyouwanttouseAutoDriveCleanwithastorage
partition,itiseasiertoconfigurethecleaningpartitionbeforeyou
configurethestoragepartitions.Ifyouselecttocreatethestorage
partitionsbeforeyoucreatethecleaningpartition,AutoDriveCleanisnot
enableduntilyoumodifythestoragepartitionstoassignacleaning
partitiontothem.

Iftheexistingstoragepartitionsusealloftheslotsinthe
library,modifyastoragepartitiontomakeslotsavailablefor
useinthecleaningpartition(seeModifyinganExisting
Partitiononpage186).
Usethefollowingstepstocreateacleaningpartition.
1. AccesstheBlueScalePartitio nwizard(seeAccessingthePartition
Wizardonpage164).
2. FromthePartitionsscreen,thenextstepdependsonwhetherany
partitions,includingacleaningpartition,arealreadyconfigured.
Ifthelibrarydoesnotcurrentlyhaveanypartitionsconfigured,the
Partitionsscreendisplaystwooptionsforcreatingapartition.Select
Manually create a partition,thenclickNew.
Do not select the Automatically create a partition option. Doing so configures all
of the available slots in the library as a storage partition. You then need to modify
the storage partition to make slots available for a cleaning partition.
