Power Consumption and Cooling Requirements
Thepowerandcoolingrequirementsforthelibrarydependonthenumber
oftapedrivesinstalled.Thefollowingtableprovidesthepower
consumptionandheatloadforthebaselibrarywithonepowersupplyand
withonedriveinstalled.Usethisinformationtocalculatethemaximum
powerconsumptionandheatloadvalues,whichcanbeusedtobuilda
powerbudgetforthelibrary.
AllvaluesaremeasuredattheACinputandincludepowersupply
efficiency.Thevaluesareaveragesofobservedhardware.Ingeneral,the
lightertheloadonthepowersupplies,thelessefficienttheyare.The
powersupplyefficiencyinturnaffectsthepowerdrawofallcomponents.

Thissectiondescribesenvironmentalspecificationsforthelibrary.The
libraryisequippedwithinternalfanstokeepthelibrary’sinternal
temperaturewithinspecificationsaslongastheoperatingenvironmentis

Caution
When the library is moved from a cold environment to a warm environment, it
