3. Accessthebackofthelibrary.
4. Insertastraightenedpaperclip(orsimilarobject)intothemagazine
releaseaccesshole,thendepressandholdthelockreleasebuttonthat
correspondstothemagazineyouneedtoremove(seeFigure263).
Note: Thelockreleasebuttonontherightsideofthelibraryreleases
thetopandbottommagazinesontherightsideofthelibrary;the
lockreleasebuttonontheleftreleasestheleft‐sidemagazines.
5. Whileyouaredepressingthelockreleasebutton,carefullyslidethe
magazinestraightoutofthefrontofthelibrary.
Ensure that you can simultaneously reach both the front and the back of the library,
or ask a second person to help you with this procedure.

clip (or similar object) into the
access hole corresponding to the
magazines you need to remove
You must depress the lock release button while removing the magazine.
If you attempt to remove a magazine while the lock release button is not depressed,
the internal magazine latch may break. This type of failure cannot be repaired in the
field, and requires the library to be returned to Spectra Logic.
A fully loaded magazine weighs several pounds.
